Safety & Mental Health Disclaimers
These disclaimers apply across all of GOAT MODE — the daily check-in, missions, AI Coach chat, Race Mode's breathing tools, voice check-in, GOAT Score and Team/squad features. Read them alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
General Disclaimer
GOAT MODE is a mental-performance training product for competitive swimmers. Everything in the app — check-ins, missions, the AI Coach, Race Mode's breathing timer, Swimmer Journeys, Champion Perspectives — is educational and motivational sport-psychology content, not medical, psychological, psychiatric or therapeutic treatment. Using GOAT MODE does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client or clinical relationship.
No Guarantee of Results
Your GOAT Score, sub-trait scores, streaks and Mindset DNA reflect engagement and consistency with the app's exercises — not swimming ability, race times, or competitive outcomes. We promise no specific result (faster times, cuts, scholarships, wins). Mental training is one factor among many — physical training, coaching, sleep, nutrition, genetics and competition conditions — that we don't control.
Applying What You Learn — Your Responsibility
Mindset exercises, breathing techniques and pre-race routines are meant to be used alongside — never instead of — your actual swim coach, athletic trainer, and any physician or mental health professional you see. You are responsible for how and when you apply anything from the app, including during real practice or competition, and for stopping and seeking qualified help if something isn't working. GOAT MODE does not supervise your swimming, training load or health.
Mental Health Disclaimer
GOAT MODE is not therapy, counseling, psychiatric care, or a substitute for them. The AI Coach is an AI language model, not a licensed therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist or human coach, and cannot diagnose or treat anxiety, depression, disordered eating, burnout or any condition. Talk to a licensed professional, a parent or guardian, or a doctor if you are managing — or think you might be managing — a mental health condition.
Minors and Parental Responsibility
Many GOAT MODE users are minors. Parents and guardians of 13–17-year-olds are responsible for supervising their swimmer's use of the app (including Team/squads — see our Community Guidelines), for deciding whether GOAT MODE is appropriate for their child, and for seeking professional support if their child shows signs of distress, in or outside the app.
Emergency Disclaimer
GOAT MODE cannot see you or respond in real time like a human, and it is not a crisis service.
